For the Forward Archive, the risk was never the records they had — it was the ones missing. They ran the Blindspot Engine on top of our Archive & Translation and Document Ingestion infrastructure: the infrastructure reads and translates the fragile documents, then the Blindspot Engine reasons about which records should exist but don't, routing every uncertain call to a curator. It works because it sifts for survivorship bias — surfacing the gaps a human archivist would never catch.
